new/old music from brett

tripping franklins, wassup!

here’s some new old music that’s new to me…i think you’ll all enjoy it.

The Moody Blues – Your Wildest Dreams

…..this 80s synth-pop jam from psychedelic dramatics Moody Blues is epically simple and sounds a little to much like Yeasayer. If you thought Yeasayer was original, you won’t after checking this tune out.

Lush – For Love

Lush is british shoegaze from the ’90s with a female singer, and its lush.

Caribou – Hendrix With KO

Caribou is kinda blowing up right now with his new album Swim. His new stuff is nothing compared to the psychedelic sunshine revival electronica from his earlier stuff.  (earlier means 2006)

The Bees – Silver-Line

The Bees are a new band with some Simon & Garfunkel harmonies and some CSNY grooviness.

Magazine – Definitive Gaze

Magazine is what happened when some member of the Buzzcocks decided he was too smart for punk. post-punk. post-irony. post-fun.

The Grateful Dead – Here Comes the Sunshine

…from the dead’s ’73 album Wake of the Flood, angelic

The Field Mice – Emma’s House

… if you like Pains of Being Pure at Heart, check out this song from these british 90s indie rocker.  if you don’t like POBPAH then don’t bother.

kk bye.
