Sir Luscious Left Foot aka Big Boi

April 29, 2010

Big Boi has been hyping this “Sir Luscious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty” album for almost two years. It should finally hit the public by the end of the summer. So far a third of the album has already leaked. Some back story:

Big Boi, as well as Andre, have a handful of different alias’s that come forth in different songs. For example you can hear Big boi break out into “Daddy Fat Sacks”, another one of his pen names, in “Fo Yo Sorrows”. Listen to “D.F. interlude” to hear all the nick names each of these two genius’s have.

It’s pretty upsetting that Outkast is pretty much broken up. The two together are a musical rarity that will be missed. I can remember my first outkast album, my brother gave me his old ATLiens cd. It was my first rap album (nostalgia). Damn, Outkast is amazing (with the exception of Idlewild), but that doesnt matter – everyone has off records. Bob Dylan, Daft Punk, Kanye… Even when they had split up to create separate projects (Speakerboxxx, Love Below), they were still hot as can be. Like I said earlier, the two are geniuses.

This album is going to burn through the main stream. The four tracks that have leaked so far are Absofuckinglutley amazing. Stanky, soulfoul, durty south. Big Boi.

(note, with the songs I changed the artist from Big Boi to Outkast. I couldn’t bring myself to concede that the group is over)

Royal Flush (release in 2008. features Andre and Raekwon)

Fo Yo Sorrows (released in 2009 ft. George Clinton and Too Short)

Shine Blockas (released in 2009 ft. Gucci Mane, great song to rage to)

Shutterbug (released a couple days ago)
