King Britt and Rucyl Mills present Saturn Never Sleeps @ Painted Bride Arts Center. With Special Guests Flying Lotus and Shabazz Palaces. Saw the SNS ensemble at Penn’s Institute of Contemporary Art and it was super heady. Awesome projection screen, cool synths, great vocals, all around good stuff. The addition of Flying Lotus will certainly make this a night of cosmic proportions.
Yo!
Just got an email from our buddies at R5 productions and their throwing a sick show tonite at The Church. HEALTH (sick experimental/rock/electro), Pictureplane (heady electro, check out their track “Gothstar”), and Tickley Feather (never heard of them). Should be a great show. The TF crew will be there in full force. See all of you tonite.

– the next thing the band is up to is a free concert right here in Philadelphia on Sunday as part of Kia Presents: The Soul Collective Tour (so catchy). To get a pair of tickets, you have to test drive the new Kia Soul at the 23rd St. Armory, but driving is so fun, right? We all miss driving when we’re at school, right? That’s why we all brought racecar beds this year, right?
Full details here and after the jump.
Just saw this on Locust Walk. It always makes me smile to see a concert at the Rotunda that involves any sort of melodic music. Check out the Antlers HERE.
